Next week I will start the first 30 day journey through one of my favorite chapters - Ephesians 1. If you are interested in getting started now, then simply try reading a few verses a day between now and then. This will get you familiar with the chapter.
The first exercise in studying any chapter is to simply read it over. If you use the inductive bible study method, this is the phase referred to as "observation." Just get familiar with it before we start on together on Wednesday.
Do not worry about spending too much time in a chapter. That is impossible, especially with this one. The bible was meant to "soak in" and not "speed through." Soaking in a passage gives the Holy Spirit the opportunity to "peel back the layers" and show you the wonderful meanings that are built into a scripture. It also gives the Holy Spirit the chance to apply it more directly to your life.
I hope you are looking forward to Ephesians 1. I know I am!
