Day 12 Ephesians 1:10

“that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth-in Him.” Ephesians 1:10

At first glance, this verse may seem convoluted or even intimidating to read. It has some strange concepts – dispensation. It has a cryptic message – “gather in one all things.” What in the world does all of that mean?

It is really very simple. I am preserved for eternity because of my identity in Jesus Christ. This verse simply says when God is finished with all that He plans to do on earth He will gather us to Himself in heaven to spend eternity together. He promises in this verse that He will preserve us from now until that day. When that day arrives, He will gather together both the folks still on earth and the folks already with Him in heaven.

This is not a question, a possibility, or even an opportunity, it is a promise! It means that nothing can ever keep you from this divine appointment. Nothing anyone does to you can keep you from an eternity with God because you are preserved. Nothing in any life situation can prevent you from spending eternity in heaven because you are preserved. There should not be any fear to step out in faith to obey the Lord in any situation that might come because you are preserved in Jesus.
